Volunteer of the Year

Attorney Kathleen Reiley, Reiley Law Offices, has been named 2009 State Bar of Wisconsin Lawyer Assistant Program Volunteer of the Year for her contributions to helping Wisconsin lawyers address and overcome addictions and mental health issues. Kathleen Reiley said, "Just because someone is dealing with alcoholism, drugs, or depression, doesn’t mean they aren’t wildly creative and smart." Attorney Reiley finds that additions are also often the cause for choas in her clients' lives, noting that often times if the addiction can be address, harmony can be restored in the family.

Wisconsin Lawyers Assistance Program (WiLAP) provides assistance to lawyers with problems with mental illness, depression, anxiety, alcoholism and other addictions.
